This site was identified as a trackway in the Environmental Impact Survey attached to the development of the Limerick Southern Ring Road (1994). Testing was recommended to establish the archaeological merit of the site. It consisted of a raised linear trackway running north-east to south-west in an otherwise flat field.
One trench, 1m x 8.5m, was dug by hand across the feature, orientated north-west to south-east. It was found that the track was modern in date, as large amounts of modern pottery and stone had been used as metalling for the track surface. It was not of archaeological significance.
