Fingal County Council relaid a sewer along the length of Main Street. The work was monitored. No undisturbed ground was encountered, owing to the considerable number of existing trenches, and rock was encountered at an extremely high level. In most areas the bedding for the road surface overlay rock. No archaeological deposits were noted.
