A programme of testing was undertaken on the above site. A trench was positioned to intersect with the proposed foundations for the north and west walls. Five cellar walls were identified extending east-west, and two were identified extend-ing north-south. They are positioned parallel to Hanbury Lane and at right angles to the western boundary wall. The cellaring was cut into the natural deposits and would have interfered with any archaeological contexts that may have survived in the areas exposed.
