Expansion of the existing premises of the Irotec Laboratories Ltd plant on an IDA industrial site in Little Island, Cork, led to monitoring of the development site before construction. The extension lies to the south of the existing production facility in a low-lying, undulating area that provides extensive views over the Lee Valley estuary. Apart from the recovery of a single sherd of post-medieval ware and two struck lithics, nothing of archaeological significance was noted during groundwork disturbance at the site.
