In accordance with planning permission from Cork County Council archaeological monitoring of topsoil removal and the excavation of foundation trenches for a housing development by Cork Corporation was carried out over a period of two weeks in September–October 1998. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered during sod-stripping and excavation of house trenches.
