A test-trench c. 8m long by 1m wide on this private development revealed no features of archaeological interest. A single clay/silt layer varying from 0.35 to 0.55m deep overlay the subsoil and was sealed by brick and stone rubble. Two brownware sherds and a clay pipe stem date the layer to the post-medieval period.
