Commissioned by the owner, this project involved the construction of 36 apartments at Mill Road, Ennis, Co. Clare. Initial site investigation by Anne Connolly (Excavations 1997, 7; 97E0424) had revealed a poorly preserved wall foundation.

Pre-development testing in the form of five trial-trenches took place. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered. It was found that the site had been disturbed since the initial investigations had been carried out.
