Monitoring was carried out of the excavation of foundations for an apartment building. Two warehouses (19th/20th century in date) that were demolished in advance of construction had occupied the development area.

There were no archaeological features or artefacts revealed during foundation excavations. The stratigraphy consisted of a layer of modern overburden, 0.5–0.7m deep, which overlay a layer of limestone rubble, with inclusions of plastic, brick and modern delph, 1.2m deep. Beneath this was a sterile, blue, boulder clay subsoil, 1.9m below present ground level.
