An area to the west of Ballnacragga ringfort, SMR 51:15, was investigated in advance of construction of the Ballycasey-Dromoland Bypass. A geophysical survey identified possible ditches. Though under grass at the time of investigation, the field had been ploughed several times. Evidence of furrows was found in the subsoil. Nothing of archaeological significance was found.
