Archaeological testing was carried out on a proposed apartment block in Fair Green, Cavan, for Cavan Urban District Council in October 1998. Two excavated trenches on the site failed to reveal any evidence of archaeological stratigraphy, with natural boulder clay being exposed quite close to the surface. It is possible that the construction of the pre-existing house on this site destroyed any stratigraphy that may have been present. No further work was recommended.
