Archaeological monitoring was carried out at Knockdomny, Moate, Co. Westmeath, in advance of erection of a proposed transmission mast on 4 January 1997. The site of the mast is immediately north of a barrow (SMR 30:104). The slope of the hill was excavated to 1.8m and the other side to 1.2m. No archaeological stratigraphy was revealed.
