Archaeological test-trenching took place on 31 July 1997 at No. 60 Glebe View, Roscrea, prior to development of the site. The site, although in the medieval town of Roscrea, does not relate to any known archaeological structure, feature or find. However, the intense medieval settlement of the town makes the occurrence of archaeological deposits likely in any part of the town.
The site to be developed was fairly small and five trial-trenches were opened. There were no archaeological layers, features or finds from the site.
