In the northern apex of the TMF, within the raised bog, two isolated roundwoods, orientated north-east/south-west, were set side by side, isolated from all other archaeological activity. They measured 3.56–3.8m in length and 0.09–0.12m in diameter. Despite the lack of visible axemarks, the straightness, regularity and narrowness of the timbers suggest that the wood must have come from the managed environment. Their OD level within the peat, 123.87–123.96m, suggests some limited Middle Bronze Age activity in this area of the bog.
