Road construction activity on the Curlew Bypass Project uncovered two adjacent spreads of heat-fractured stones on a level piece of upland, close to a stream. One spread produced a wood-lined trough. There were no finds or other features to assist a more detailed interpretation.
Editor’s note: This excavation, though carried out in 1995, was not reported on in time for inclusion in the bulletin for that year.
