Archaeological testing of a proposed apartment development at The Mall, Drogheda, Co. Louth, was carried out on 13 and 14 May 1997. The site is located on the south side of Bachelors Lane and extends as far as The Mall. It is within the medieval walled town of Drogheda. Four trenches were excavated and revealed that the site was fairly disturbed. There was no evidence for medieval activity and all finds were of a post-medieval date.
