Archaeological testing was carried out at this site which is located on the north side of Laurence Street. The site is located within the medieval walled town of Drogheda in a street that was most likely in existence at the beginning of the 13th century. The excavation of three test-trenches revealed that boulder clay existed very close to the surface. This is not surprising as the site is cut into the side of a hill.
There were no features or finds of medieval date, but quite a large assemblage of post-medieval pottery survived intact on the site.
