The monitoring of a development (engineers’ compound) in association with the Dundalk Bypass took place from 4 to 15 December 1997. An area of c. 50m x 50m was stripped using machinery. About 0.3m of topsoil was removed.
Although this phase of stripping has been completed, the licence has been extended to monitor work at the northern end of the bypass during 1998.
