This site was to be assessed as part of a programme of archaeological assessments along the line of the proposed N20/N21 Adare–Annacotty road scheme, and consequently a licence was applied for and granted. However, access to the line was not given by the landowner and therefore the excavation did not take place. This licence has been suspended until such time as access can be granted.
