Excavated in advance of the Croom bypass project, this site consisted of a circular raised area with traces of a fosse. The geophysical survey showed clear evidence of a ring-ditch and two linear features joining it on the west side.
Three cuttings were excavated: one (C2) crossing the ditch, one (C1) in the centre of the enclosed area, and one (C3) investigating one of the linear features. In C2, the ditch was found to have been partly filled with stones, most of which had traces of mortar. These presumably date from the time when the monument was levelled. C1 uncovered a stony surface but no trace of any structures and no finds. C3 likewise did not reveal any features, but a flint flake was found in the topsoil.
