Excavated in advance of the Croom bypass project, this site was identified during the initial survey by Celie O Rahilly as a possible enclosure. It appeared as an approximately rectangular area enclosed by rather irregular low mounds. Three cuttings were excavated, one crossing the line of ‘mounds’, the others in the enclosed area. The former showed that the ‘bank’ did not appear to be an artificial feature, and the latter two likewise showed no trace of human activity. There were no finds.
