The site is located approximately half a mile south of Killarney town centre. A number of house trenches were monitored in the vicinity of the cropmark enclosure during ongoing development on the site. Some evidence for smelting was uncovered. The excavation of the cropmark and surrounding area is scheduled for spring 1998.
