The archaeological works on site primarily consisted of the monitoring of the construction of a new building adjacent to two post-medieval walls. A small excavation was attempted but had to be concluded without much progress being made owing to the danger posed by the electrical substation on the site. The monitoring minimised the modern intrusion upon the walls, and furthermore supervised the reconstruction of an ornate 16th-century window. The reconstruction included fragments of the window surrounds recovered from inside the window when it was filled in to reduce its size in the modern era.
The excavation of a 1m2 area exposed a surface of redeposited boulder clay below the overburden, but no features came to light.
