Archaeological investigation of the site of a disturbed rath took place ahead of housing development.

The enclosure was oval in outline, measuring 35m x 30m. A ditch, 4m wide and 1.6m deep, was excavated, the upper fill consisting of original bank material but the lower fills were obscured by rising water. The bank itself had been levelled to form a spread 6m wide and 0.2m high. There appeared to be a 6m-wide entrance in the south-west.
