House development and refurbishment of an existing building known as 'Barrymore Stables' and noted on the SMR for County Cork required test-trenching in advance of construction. Test-trenches in the vicinity of the new house development did not uncover any archaeological material. A test-trench through the entrance to 'Barrymore Stables' showed that this entrance was modern.
