The developers intended to build six houses in this field. The north-east corner of the field contains a possible earthwork. A series of trenches (2.5m wide) were excavated in a figure-H pattern. A dump of angular limestone stones was identified but modern debris was found lying within the stones. No negative cut features were identified, particular care being taken to identify possible ditch remains.

While there are a relatively large number of earthworks in this area north-west of Macroom, this site appears to be the remains of modern field clearance.
