Monitoring was undertaken during the excavation of foundations for an extension to the rear of the existing premises at 14 Parnell Street, Ennis, Co. Clare.
The material retrieved from these foundation trenches consisted for the most part of modern rubble and mortar. White crockery fragments, red brick and mortar, and occasional animal bones were recorded (the site had previously been a butcher’s yard).
No archaeological material was recorded at this site.
