This large riverfront site was to be developed with four apartment blocks. Five test-trenches were excavated by mechanical digger in the general area of three of the proposed blocks on 19 February. Access was not possible in the case of one apartment block. The results of this assessment showed that no significant archaeological deposits were present in the areas tested. Further assessment was recommended should the development go ahead.
It has since been reported in The Wexford People that the development has been refused planning permission by An Bord Pleanála.
