Four trenches were opened up in a fairly dry, slightly raised platform close to the present Dublin road in an otherwise wet, marshy field as part of the Nenagh Bypass assessment. Two low walls were evident, concealed by a thin covering of grass.
OS first-edition maps show a complex of farm buildings in this area. Assessment of the walls and platform indicates the basal stone remains of post-medieval farm buildings.
