Pre-development testing was undertaken on the site of a proposed community and resource centre at Balla, Co. Mayo, in December 1996. Three test-trenches were excavated by machine in the areas of proposed ground disturbance within the development.
No archaeological features or small finds were recovered from any of the trenches.
