This site is located to the east of the proposed Northern Relief Road, in the corner bounded by Courthouse Lane to the west and River Lane to the north. Five cuttings were made to coincide with the proposed housing. The only archaeology found, occurring in all five cuts, was a deposit of organic material overlying natural clay. A similar deposit also occurred in the excavation of St Francis's Abbey (see Excavations 1996, No. 246).
