A rectangular enclosure was noted on aerial photographs and investigations were carried out in the area to the west and south-west of this site in an area through which the Adare-Annacotty improved road is to run. Two trenches were hand-excavated, with natural subsoil occurring below a sterile layer of ploughsoil.
Nothing of archaeological significance was found.
