An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at a proposed development site on 24 August 1996 in compliance with a request from the planning authority. Four trial-trenches and a trial-pit, with a combined length of 82m, were excavated by machine in an attempt to determine the nature and extent of any archaeological material which might exist within the boundaries of the site. No features or finds of archaeological interest were uncovered.
