A further season of fieldwork was carried out at this site, as part of an ongoing research project.
A further series of stake-holes and small pits, some discernible as arcs, were revealed, and a stone 'raft' uncovered in last year's excavations continued through the trench. The innermost ditch encountered last year was absent, suggesting a large causeway. Sherds of Late Bronze Age pottery and a few flecks of gold were located.
A section was taken out through the middle ditch; it was 1.6m deep and contained wood, animal bones and another fleck of gold.
