A watching brief with resulting excavation took place during topsoil-stripping ahead of the extension of a quarry.
Evidence of small booley-houses was uncovered, comprising stone wall bases and cobbled floors and paths, as well as traces of hearths. Several flints, including butt-trimmed blades, were found but were not necessarily associated with the structures. The lack of associated finds made dating the structures problematic.
