Pre-development testing at the site of a proposed dwelling house extension was undertaken in January 1995. The site is located on the north side of the village fairgreen about 150m north-east of the present Protestant church, which incorporates fragmentary remains of a 12th-century Augustinian abbey. No archaeological deposits or features were noted.
