The foundation trench for a boundary wall was inadvertently excavated before an archaeological assessment could be carried out; the sides of the trench and the spoil were examined. The line of the back wall of a dwelling house on the same site was also tested prior to development. Nothing of archaeological interest was observed in either trench.
