Pre-development trial-trenching was carried out in November 1995 on the site of a proposed housing development. The site under investigation was located adjacent to St Bridget's Church and Graveyard, on the outskirts of Loughrea, Co. Galway. Two trial-trenches were excavated to bedrock by mechanical digger and no archaeological features or material were revealed.
