This site is part of the East End Development by Trinity College, Dublin, at the rear of the west side of Westland Row. The area has been dug up many times over recent years for services. The ground level had been raised in the past by the introduction of much building rubble and also garden soil, probably in the late 18th/early 19th century. This layer bottomed at between 1.8m and 2.8m below present ground level and overlay natural silty deposits. Nothing of archaeological interest was exposed.
