An archaeological assessment was carried out for planning purposes on the site of the old Green Cinema at 128/134 St Stephen's Green, Dublin. Five test-trenches were mechanically excavated on the site. The profiles in all the trenches revealed relatively modern and recently demolished structures overlying a sterile glacial till. There were no archaeological implications for the development.
