The site lies off North King St. on the north side of the River Liffey, within the Hiberno-Norse suburb of Oxmantown. The site assessment did not produce any archaeological deposits or features. The two houses which had existed on the site prior to the new development had deep cellars, ranging in depth from 2m to 2.7m below existing ground level. These were cut into the natural yellow/orange clay deposits on the site which overlay a glacial gravel.
