In a continuing investigation of the Bann drainage dumps, an area 20m x 60m was sampled to a depth of 1m in the interval between tree-felling and replanting. An Early Bronze Age axe-head, a Late Bronze Age sword and a fragment of Hiberno-Norse ring-money, as well as a few Mesolithic flint flakes, were uncovered.

Local people reported finding four polished stone axes, and a timber structure was recorded on the Clady river at Drumnacanon, Co. L'derry.
