Archaeological monitoring was carried out on a site on the east side of the north end of Main St., Banagher, Co. Offaly, for which permission was sought to build twenty-six houses. Three test pits were dug for engineering purposes on the west side of the site while a fourth was dug on the north-east side as an archaeological check on the stratigraphy. The site is of no archaeological significance.
