Pre-development site assessment was conducted on behhalf of Archaeological Development Services Ltd., on August 30, 1994.
Three trial trenches were machine excavated to expose the uppermost levels of in situ archaeological deposits on site. These levels varied between 12.99m OD and 13.9m OD. Subsequent archaeological monitoring of the substructural phase of development entailed the supervised re-excavation of Claire Walsh's 1992 archaeological excavation (Excavations 1992, 16–17) to facilitate the construction of a basement within the excavated area.
