It was only possible to open one cutting on this site as the new building was mostly to roof height. This trial pit contained three layers over natural with a total depth of 0.5m.
Nothing was noted which was of archaeological potential but it was not possible to do an adequate sampling of the area due to the construction already in place. This fact was brought to the attention of both the developer and the Urban District Council.
