Three cuttings were made along the foundation line of a proposed extension to a renovated public house at the west end of Dunkerrin village. Underlying the modern ground level was a cobbled surface (presumably the original yard level). Below this was clay infill which overlay sterile clay.

Nothing of archaeological interest noted.
