A dwelling house was planned for south of the graveyard of the 14th-century Augustinian foundation on the Hill of Skreen which in turn was an early foundation dedicated to St Columba.

Monitoring of foundation trenching took place. A small open-sided stone structure was exposed which was interpreted as an area for mixing mortar as there was a concentration of mortar here. There was some evidence that it was of late 18th- or 19th-century date.
