Two cuts were opened in the site which was adjacent to a disused burial ground of 19th- to 20th-century date and used by nuns from a nearby convent. The excavation revealed recent infill on the old ground surface which overlay natural sandy gravelly clay.
Nothing of archaeological interest was noted.
