Supervision took place of the digging of foundations for an extension northwards of the premises here. The site is located c. 5m west of a stone wall which runs north-east/south-west; it is possible that the wall is either built on the line of the town wall or even retains part of the fabric of the town wall within it. However, the foundation-digging did not yield any information which assisted in the interpretation of the wall. The trenches were dug through rubble to a depth of 700mm and produced nothing of archaeological interest.
