A small quarry is designated in the north-west of this ringfort on the 6" OS. map (1920). Today the quarry has been extended and the entire ringfort seems to have been quarried out sometime after 1920. As the Swinford by-pass runs through this ringfort (site of) 4 machine-dug trenches were excavated to see if any remains of the ditch of the ringfort had survived. No features or finds of archaeological importance were uncovered.
