Two trenches were monitored on 19th November 1992 on behalf of TBD Developments following the recommendation of Claire Walsh who carried out a series of test trenches on the site in September (see site no. 85, 1992). The trenches were cut parallel to the line of the city wall and some of the removed material consisted of loose limestone boulders, probably forming the fill of the robber trench noted by Ms. Walsh. The trenches, however, were cut to a maximum depth of 0.2m and their shallowness prohibited a thorough investigation of the line of the fill.
